The psychology of a trader is the most important thing to learn if he wants to seriously earn from trading. The basics need to be understood very properly before taking a leap. The most important factors of successful traders are given below:

When you are selling a greetings card, you know that your sales figure is somewhat same most of the time in the year. But at times of Christmas and New year, the sales volume moves up a lot. You can jack up the price too. In this manner, you can earn a hefty profit in a short span of time. But you can’t repeat the same thing again in the mid of the season. You need to understand this very clearly. You must have some realistic expectation from the market. If you feel, you can earn 100% profit every month, you are in fool’s paradise. The psychology, that’s why play an important role in the market. Once you have the right expectation from the market, you will be able to see a positive result from it.
Hone your skillset:-
Once you start a business of, let’s say, jewellery, you always have a long-term plan. You may face some initial loss too. It will take time for you to grow in that field. But if you are not successful in that business, will you shut your shop and start a restaurant food chain in a few months? Most sane men won’t. Similarly, when you come to trading, you must strict one-method. You can not shuffle in between future, options, intraday, positional, intraday etc etc. every alternative day. It will take a huge time and understanding to grasp something in the market. If you continue to shift your trading method from one to another, you won’t be able to achieve mastery in anything.
I hope, you are able to understand the psychology behind trading. It’s simple but not easy. Keeping a realistic expectation, getting stuck with a particular trading methodology for years will take dedication. But where in the world, without dedication one has achieved anything?
